Find Your Own Way to Learn English There are many ways to learn English, but everyone should have his or her own way. At first, I had many difficulties in learning English. For example, I couldn’t spell some English words, and couldn’t understand what people said when they were talking fast. I often made mistakes in grammar and read very slowly. Now I have found some ways to improve my English. I copy down the vocabulary lists for each unit and keep them in my mind. I listen to English tapes every day and I can understand mostly what people talk about. I often borrow English books and read them after class. The most important thing to learn English well, I think, is to you’re your mind on it, so that you can find your own ways to improve your English.
Boys and girls， It is very important for us students to keep healthy. There are many ways o be healthy. We’d better eat more fruits and vegetables. Take exercise for at least one hour every day. June 3, Friday Fine On my way home on the bus, I saw an old man get on with his grandson of about ten. He was carrying the boy’s schoolbag and a violin. I gave my seat to the old man at once. Behave Well During the Travel Huaguo Mountain is a famous tourist attraction in Lianyungang. Every year many tourists come here to enjoy its beautiful scenery. But a few years ago, a lot of bad behaviors happened quite often during the travel. Some threw litter, painted on the walls, and spit on the ground everywhere. Some picked flowers, destroyed trees and hurt animals. And even worse, some smoked in the woods. How dangerous! Luckily, things have changed now. Rubbish is always put into dustbins. People are friendly to animals. Nobody smokes around the woods and places of interest are well kept. All these changes make us happy. As a student, I think we should know it’s our duty to protect the environment. In order to make Huaguo Mountain and our city more beautiful, let’s behave well and try our best to help fight (against) bad behaviors!
We are graduating from school soon. I miss so many good friends, especially my best friend—Li Lei. Li Lei is a top student. He is outgoing and hardworking. He has a lot of interests and is always ready to help others. We get on well with each other so we often discuss our study together and he can always find out new ways to help me work out problem. I’m so proud of him. I care so much about him that I want to do something meaningful for him. Before leaving school, I’ll send him a card that I make myself with my best wishes. I hope he will have a bright future and that our friendship will last forever.
